Ch. Nick Greenwood

President / Founder

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI, and later moved to Orange County, California with my family when I was 15. Following high school graduation, I spent 3 years playing in bands, interning at a recording studio, and attending community college part-time. At 21, I shipped out to Greenville College in Illinois to study guitar, and it was there in January 2004 that the beginning vision for RYFO was born. With a new God-given heart for ministry, I was accepted to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. There I completed my B.A. in Youth Ministry. Following college, my wife and I returned home to Orange County. There I served as a youth and college pastor for 5 years, and as a donation-dependent chaplain to the music community with CBAmerica. Today, I serve as an associate pastor over mission and music at First Baptist Church of Big Bear Valley, in Big Bear Lake, Ca. My joy in life, second to my relationship with Jesus, is my wife Emily and our two small men, Jackson and Cooper. After that, I love juice, non-spicey Thai food, and home-made beef jerky.

Simeon Lohrmann

Director of Operations

I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD before heading off to college in Southern IL, at Greenville College. It was there that I met Nick Greenwood through a band we both played in called Pennington. I graduated with a B.S. in Business Management and moved to Southern CA in the fall of ’06 to help Nick start RYFO. God’s timing for my involvement with RYFO ended up being different than I had planned. I got a job at Capital Group Companies where I was able to continue my education and completed an Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management as offered by Notre Dame University. It was nearly 4 years before God brought me back into the RYFO conversation and I joined the volunteer team in the summer of ’10. I have gradually taken on more responsibility within RYFO and I am currently in the process of raising support to transition in to a full-time staff role. I am newly married to my best friend Johanna Lohrmann and blessed beyond measure to be walking through this season of transition with her support and encouragement. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer or guitar and hiking or hanging out at the beach.

Audrey Thompson

RYFO Network Coordinator

As a child, I didn’t think God actually knew what he was doing by raising me up in a small town. I grew up in Northern California where I spent my childhood in Marysville and my teen years in Yuba City. My unwise choices and challenging circumstances in life led me straight into a walk unholy and unpleasing to the Lord. In 1998, I ran into an old friend from high school (who sorta’ had a crush on me back-in-the-day) and he invited me to start going to his youth group. Kevin and I started serving the Lord in the first days of our rekindled relationship and we were married in August of 1999. After 13 years of marriage, the Lord has led me through a series of seemingly unrelated careers. In September of 2006, the Lord directed our path to San Clemente, CA where Kevin and I met Nick and Emily Greenwood. When RYFO launched in 2008, we were behind Nick’s vision and eager to pray this through to completion. My fields of studies include Child Development and Business Management. I have been a Preschool Teacher, a Hotel Sales Manager, a Hotel Human Resources Manager and a High School Teacher. November 2012 is the monumental month where the Lord spoke to my heart and made it possible for me to join the RYFO staff full time. And those “seemingly unrelated careers” are all working together now for God’s purposes in RYFO. I’ve always said, I just want to know where the Lord is working, and be there . . .and now, I believe I am.

Taylor Adkins

Artist Coordinator

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA before heading to college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. After graduating with my B.B.A. in Business Management and my M.S. in Sports Management, I served as the Associate Director of Athletic Development/Fundraising at James Madison University from 2009 – 2013. My wife, Mandy, and I recently moved to San Antonio, TX where I now serve as the Director of Athletic Development/Fundraising for the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to starting a career in college athletics, I was a show promoter for multiple local venues in Virginia as well as playing in numerous bands over the years. Over the years I have had the opportunity to be around many great musicians and my new role in RYFO is about serving those very individuals. As the Artist Coordinator on the RYFO staff, I look forward to working with the artists/musicians in the RYFO network to learn how we can better serve them.

Chris Nowicki

Technology Coordinator

I was born and raised in Dover, NH before heading to Champlain College in 1999.  After receiving my A.S. in Network Administration & PC Support I worked for a Networking Integration company outside of Boston, MA.  Shortly after, in 2002, my life changed when I accepted Christ into my life and decided it was time to go back to school and finish my B.S. degree.  In 03′ I moved to Southern IL to attend Greenville College where I met RYFO founder Nick Greenwood.  It was in our men’s prayer meeting that he shared his vision of RYFO and I have supported and stood behind the vision ever since.  I graduated with my B.S. in Digital Media in 05’ and moved to Southern California where I was a Teacher and Network Administrator at a private christian school.  In 07’ I moved on to be a Sr. Technical Support Engineer at Raytheon where I am currently employed and it wasn’t until summer of 2013 that God placed a specific calling on my life to volunteer with RYFO.   As the Technology Coordinator, I am looking forward to serving not only the staff and their needs but also the RYFO community.  FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:  My nickname is “wix”.  Breakfast is always the best at dinner time.  I love to make green smoothies in my vitamix.  Thai food and sushi are my favorite.  FroYo is ALWAYS an option!  I am a drummer.  I am passionate about music.  I serve on the worship team at my church.  I think breakfast burritos are UH-MAZING and can be consumed at ANY meal of the day.  I was the first documented person to get the RYFO logo as a tattoo in 2010.
