“I have believed in the vision of RYFO since founder Nick Greenwood first shared the vision with me in 2004. As a donor over the years, I am encouraged to see how the support not only by myself but by other donors has helped turn vision into a reality that has already influenced and changed the lives of musicians. Do you love music? Do you believe that musicians have the capacity to influence the next generation? I encourage anyone who loves music to become a donor. Not only will the lives of others be changed, but you will be encouraged by seeing a generation changed as well.”
- Chris Nowicki, Costa Mesa, Ca.
Often, when I think of missions I think of reaching the unreached people groups of our world; the “10/40 Window” it’s often called. And there is also a lot of discussion these days about living ‘missionally’ in our everyday lives. What about the unreachable people groups; the people on stages and platforms we observe and follow from a distance? How do you reach ‘rock stars’ with the Good News of Jesus’ love?
RYFO is helping the Body of Christ identify the unique needs that musicians have, in order to create Gospel-motivated opportunities to serve them, so that the light of Christ shines brightly within the dark garages, clubs and venues of the music community. Matthew 5:16 says; “Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” As a musician myself, my heart breaks regularly for the musicians I watch on stage. Whether they are just starting out or established and touring, I want every one of them to know and receive the love of Jesus.
The staff and programs of RYFO thrive on the generous gifts you give. If you have caught the vision for RYFO or participate in the RYFO Network in some way, please consider RYFO as your place to invest your resources. In doing so, may we see the Good News of Jesus’ love shared and received all throughout the music community. May musicians be reconciled to the Father through the humble and faithful efforts of His Body.
Serving the voices,
Ch. Nick Greenwood
